Nokia G42 5G with 6.56″ 90Hz display, Snapdragon 480+, 5000mAh battery launched in India for Rs. 12599

HMD Global has kept its promise by officially launching the Nokia G42 5G in India, the latest addition to the Nokia G series of smartphones. This device boasts a 6.56-inch HD+ display with a silky-smooth 90Hz refresh rate. Under the hood, it is powered by the Snapdragon 480+ SoC, coupled with 6GB of RAM, and an additional 5GB of virtual RAM for enhanced performance. Photography enthusiasts will appreciate the 50MP main camera on the rear, accompanied by 2MP depth and macro sensors. For selfies and video calls, there’s an 8MP front-facing camera.

One notable feature of the Nokia G42 5G is its pre-installed Android 13 operating system, with the added assurance of receiving two years of OS upgrades and three years of security updates, ensuring a secure and up-to-date user experience.

In terms of design and sustainability, the Nokia G42 5G is constructed with a back cover made from 65% recycled materials. It has also undergone rigorous testing, including 14 different drop tests on various sides, corners, edges, and faces, making it more durable and robust than the G50 model.

The device houses a substantial 5000mAh battery, promising up to three days of usage on a single charge. Additionally, it supports 20W fast charging (QC3.0 & PD3.0) for quick and convenient recharging. To provide further value to users, the Nokia G42 5G comes with a jelly case and a 20W charger included in the box.
